A Few Petals: The Core Difference Between Inner and Outer Blades
1
The time a person lives in the real world should be more than in dreams and the virtual world. The body’s total energy is balanced. If physical labor or exercise is too little, too much energy flows to the brain, and you easily overthink.
2
Every time after playing tacky rubber, switching back to a tensor always needs two or three games to adjust. With tacky rubber there is a ball-gripping pause; back on a tensor, the ball release seems too fast. A similar situation occurs with inner and outer carbon blades. But ultimately, once accustomed, you can adapt to all. Yet if you want technical progress, switching between rubbers or blades of different systems should not be too frequent. Every time I play a good sample blade or rubber, I always fear the product quality drops after the official launch. This is some makers’ habit. It is not that they cannot make good things — they just feel selling more is enough.
4
Some brands will scrap a blade over a small wood flaw, or use it as a lottery prize. Some brands, when a ply separates, still say it is a usage problem.
5
Ten years ago, interviewing the Hong Kong team, some players said one reason for choosing Butterfly rubber: more conscientious quality control. They do not neglect old products when a new one comes out, and they always keep quality control as stable as possible. This is not easy, because strictly speaking, rubber’s yield rate is not that high.
6
Speaking of “rolling” competition, many brands’ distributors fall into the bind of “the brand makes money, I do not.” Sometimes their own purchase price is even higher than Pinduoduo’s or Xianyu’s. Considering how some brands seemingly insanely control prices, even controlling Xianyu prices, I can actually understand them. Because thinking for distributors ultimately achieves a win-win.

From the Ice Cream AZX/AZXI to the AZX Pro/AZXI Pro, the enlarged face brought a more obvious ball-grip and absolute bottom power. But at the same time, it became more strenuous to control for amateurs. From the angle of suiting amateurs, should many blades actually shrink the face?
8
Under medium power, outer blades ramp up speed faster. And faster speed means more potential for variation.
9
Outer blades make you form many habits of not actively generating power. Inner blades make you used to continuous power generation. The core of inner aramid-carbon blades is the issue of power control.
