Background
As a fan of the former world number one, I simply had to own a blade endorsed by the man himself. This is one I actually use — proof that my devotion is the real deal.
- As you can see, this is a 2024 old-school letter-style Hurricane King. Performance is still excellent.
- The previous owner preferred Ma Long, so he peeled off Wang Chuqin’s portrait sticker, claiming it would somehow make the blade play better.
- As the current owner, I treasure this blade dearly and haven’t had the heart to use it yet. Right as Wang Chuqin was taking home a hard-fought silver medal, I figured it was the perfect moment to show it off as a commemorative piece.
- All joking aside, I do genuinely hope Wang Chuqin continues to raise his game. At a time when China’s national team pipeline is struggling to develop depth, he has what it takes to become a world number one that everyone truly respects.
