Gallery: Joola Dynasty Hellfire and AGR (Discontinued)

Mogu Table Tennis Studio’s “Gallery” is purely a public-interest feature, offered for fellow players to reference and learn from.

This issue’s star: Joola Dynasty Hellfire, the obscure purple rubber (discontinued)

Mogu’s quick take

  1. The Joola Dynasty series’ most expensive rubber to date, also a top-tier German rubber, available in black, red, and purple.

  2. Purple cake sponge, bare weight 70.9 g, very poor sales, fairly obscure.

  3. Mogu previously stuck the Dynasty AGR on a Franziska ZLC and played with it; the experience was excellent. Apart from the hardness being a bit hard, both the quality and the feel were a high-end experience.

  4. The overall design of the Dynasty Hellfire is similar to the Dynasty AGR, with the same hardness but a sparser, finer, longer pimple structure, so it feels a bit softer than the AGR and grips the ball a bit more, while also placing higher demands on the blade’s support.

  5. In summary, the Dynasty AGR is better suited to an inner blade, and the Dynasty Hellfire is better suited to an outer blade, to achieve the optimal pairing. All of Joola’s old products are now discontinued. This article serves only as a gallery keepsake; I don’t recommend buying it.

PS: The content of “Mogu’s Gallery” is all the author’s subjective impressions. Rubbers have individual variation, and pairing with different blades will yield different results. Comments and corrections are welcome.
