After its initial release in 2022, it was personally signed at the Chengdu World Championships that same year. I present it here as a commemorative piece.

From the strongest player on earth back then, to Tokyo, to a slump, to Paris, to leaving for the German Bundesliga, this admirable “Iron Wall of China” has never forgotten his duty to repay his country or his love for table tennis. To be forced out of the world rankings in the prime of his career is absurd and laughable. Thankfully, our Brother Dong has risen to the occasion. His playing style today may have lost the sharp edge of his early breakout days, but it has gained the solidity of accumulated experience, masterful changes of pace at will, and unbeatable rallying ability. He is the undisputed world number one, a hall-of-fame master of table tennis. I wish Brother Dong a National Games gold medal, and I hope he can keep playing in good health.
