event · 2026-07-10

The 2026 China National Table Tennis Championships doubles runs July 13-19 in Changsha, Hunan — the first time in the championships’ history that doubles is held as a standalone event, ahead of the team/individual phase in December.

With the Los Angeles Olympics adding doubles events, and Asian Games preparation in mind, cross-provincial/team pairings are allowed this year.

Mixed Doubles

Mixed doubles has 122 pairs — the largest field. Established partnerships include Wang Chuqin/Sun Yingsha, Lin Shidong/Kuai Man, and Yuan Licen/Wang Yidi. New pairings: Huang Youzheng/Chen Yi, Xiang Peng/Fan Shuhan, Chen Junsong/Qian Yuxuan, Chen Yuanyu/Han Feier, Xu Yingbin/Zong Geman, Wen Ruibo/Shi Xunyao, Lin Gaoyuan/Liu Weishan.

Men’s doubles returns to the National Championships for the first time in four years with 94 pairs. Former champions Ma Long and Xu Xin reunite — the only pair in this field to have won this specific title (in 2020). Lin Shidong partners with Wen Ruibo for Asian Games preparation. Huang Youzheng/Xiang Peng makes its first adult event appearance together. Zhou Qihao/Xue Fei, Yuan Licen/Xu Yingbin, and Chen Yuanyu/Chen Junsong are also strong contenders.

Women’s Doubles

Women’s doubles has 90 pairs. Chen Yi/Fan Shuhan — Asian Games partners — make their first official appearance together. Wang Yidi/Shi Xunyao and He Zhuojia/Sun Mingyang are also strong contenders. Young pairs Kuai Man/Qian Yuxuan, Han Feier/Zong Geman, Jiang Yiyi/Yao Ruixuan, and Wang Xiaotong/Xu Yi are exciting watches.

Wang Manyu chose not to compete following the US Grand Smash, with the coaching staff approving her recovery plan.
