China Unveils 2026 Asian Games Medal Ceremony Uniforms
On August 3, the Chinese Olympic Committee and Li-Ning brand jointly unveiled the medal ceremony uniforms for the 2026 Asian Games at the National Olympic Sports Center. The event was attended by high-ranking officials, including Deputy Director General of the State General Administration of Sport Cui Jian, Deputy Director General of China Media Group Qi Zhuquan, and Li-Ning, the founder and chairman of the Li-Ning Group, along with several Olympic champions. 
The new uniforms, themed ‘Glistening Stars,’ feature a blue color palette adorned with dynamic star motifs, blending Eastern elegance with modern dynamism. The design embodies both national spirit and competitive edge. Beyond aesthetics, the uniforms are equipped with advanced technology to enhance performance. At the launch, table tennis players Wang Chuqin, Wang Manyu, and Huang Youzheng, along with athletes from the Chinese shooting, diving, fencing, and water polo teams, showcased the new attire. 
Cui Jian stated that the uniforms represent the continuity and innovation of Chinese sportsmanship and serve as a testament to the growth of national brands alongside sports. They will accompany Chinese athletes as they stand on the Asian Games podium, showcasing the nation’s composure and confidence, and capturing every moment of glory. 
The event also featured a performance of ‘Asian Wind’ by Wei Wei and a reenactment of the 1990 Beijing Asian Games torch relay, with Dawa Yangzong and Li-Ning recreating the iconic first baton handover. Athletes from the 1990 Games, including Xu Haifeng, Gao Min, Li Xiaoshuang, and Tang Jiuhong, joined current athletes to light a star-shaped installation, symbolizing a legacy of 36 years and evoking cherished memories of the Asian Games. 
The 1990 Beijing Asian Games marked a pivotal moment for Chinese sports, giving rise to the Li-Ning brand, which first partnered with the Chinese delegation to provide tailored gear for athletes, initiating a long-standing collaboration between national brands and sports.
